Now, I get to tell you what comes next. The first post was about the pain… now I get to tell you what we’re doing with it!

After 7 years of mystery illnesses, missed diagnoses, medical dead-ends, and nobody we could count on—we found the toxic mold, the mycotoxins, the poison... Our own, seemingly beautiful home was making us all sick.

At first, this was about survival. Saving our daughter. Saving our family. But after the dust settled and we started to heal, it was clear—this wasn’t just our story. It was one of millions.

We went from knowing nothing about mold to knowing more than many, arguably most, professionals in the space. We had become the experts in the “Mold Exposure Venn Diagram”... at the intersection of toxic mold, symptom recognition, building science, remediation, recovery and detox support… Not by choice, but by necessity. No one could help us, so we became the help we needed. And once your eyes are opened to it, you can’t unsee it.

Here’s the truth:

Mold is not rare. And it doesn't matter how new or "nice" your home or office is. EPA, HUD, and OSHA studies all showed 70%+ of homes and up to 90% of commercial buildings have some form of unhealthy mold due to past or present water damage. From leaks, poor sealing, improper insulation, bad ventilation, condensation, even just high humidity—you name it. And the majority goes undetected. For years. Decades. Making people sick while no one looks in the right place. Usually, nobody even thinks to look at all!

How could something so prevalent and dangerous get so little attention?

Thankfully, names like Jordan Peterson, Gary Brecka, Tony Robbins, RFK Jr., and even the real Erin Brockovich are starting to speak up after dealing with mold exposure themselves. But we still have a long way to go.

We hear stories all the time: families with mystery symptoms, kids who can’t focus or thrive, adults feeling like their fatigue and anxiety are just “normal.”

Spoiler: they’re not.

A toxic environment doesn’t just affect your lungs or "allergies". It can hijack your brain, your immune system, your future. Unfortunately, most mainstream doctors, even the most intelligent/well-meaning ones, don’t even know to look for it.

So after walking through our fire, we made a decision: this wasn’t the end of our story. It was the start of a mission.

I have always liked the quote, “I love when people that have been through hell, walk out of the flames carrying buckets of water for those still consumed by the fire!”… This was now my calling.

I walked away from what I like to think was a successful career helping run some of the top contracting firms in the state. Companies I still respect and admire. But something had shifted. My life needed to mean something different. I was now equipped to solve much different, more consequential problems. Problems that if I didn’t help find and fix, maybe nobody else would…

So I am proud to say we are officially launching Alpha Dog Inspections—a K9-led mold detection company rooted in experience, driven by purpose, and trained to do what others can’t. This company will be the vehicle by which I complete my mission to spread the word, and help as many people as possible.

Our mission is simple:

 Educate people about the prevalence & real dangers of hidden mold

 Detect what’s missed by tools, tests, and so-called experts

 Guide families and businesses toward safe remediation, recovery and peace of mind

 Educate our community so that homes/buildings that are safe from toxic mold, stay that way

What would happen to our families, our workplaces, and our communities if we began replacing tired, foggy, anxious, depressed, and unwell individuals with people who are clear-minded, energetic, calm, and thriving? That’s the future we’re working toward.

Whether people suspect they may have an issue, or just wonder if they could, we will get you an answer you can trust. If mold is there, we give you the best chance of uncovering it. Then, we connect people to the small, curated group of professionals who actually know how to fix it and help you recover. We don’t profit from remediation, so there’s no incentive to find anything but the truth.

Mold is something you can’t just ignore and hope for the best. I’ve heard people say, “I don’t even want to know”… Unfortunately, sometimes what you don’t know CAN hurt you…

We work with people who take their health—and the health of those they’re responsible for—seriously. People who care about what they put in and on their bodies, from food and supplements to pharmaceuticals and everyday chemicals. We serve families, business owners, schools, healthcare facilities, churches, and facility managers—focusing especially on those most vulnerable to toxic exposure.

Our lead dog Jo (aka “JoJo”) —who we raised since she was a pup—is nearing the end of her advanced training with one of the top national security and mold K9 trainers in the world. He provides work ready canines for the FBI, CIA and many other organizations around the world and we were lucky enough to get her accepted. He says she’s one of the best he’s ever worked with… My beautiful AND smart little black Lab is special, and she’s nearly ready to go.

This is a new chapter. A happier chapter. A big leap! And a little scary, but to quote the great Elwood… “We’re on a mission from God!”

I am not here for approval or recognition… I am not even here to be “professional”, “polished”, or to try to make everyone like me anymore…

I am here to be real. To be effective. To be transformative for people’s lives. And to be the Godsend we prayed for these last seven years… We’re here to bring truth, health and peace of mind to those that want it.
